The craft winery Chito’s Gvino appeared in 2017. Its founder and winemaker, Nino Chitoshvili, a native of Tbilisi, is a pianist by education.

Chito’s Gvino is a member of the Georgian Association of Organic Winemaking. The company produces up to 10,000 bottles per year, and its wine is exported to the United States, France, Denmark, Israel, and Latvia. Wines delivered to the United States annually are tasted in New York at the Vinyl Wine bar, where they are highly regarded. The 2021 Saperavi won a gold medal at the international Saperavi competition.
